Shanghai, How was the result of HSK 5th grade?

Decided to take a test, HSK 5th grade

Two and a half year has passed already in Shanghai and my Chinese skill also has improved. But still I only have 4th grade. Therefore I decided to take 5th grade of HSK.

Examination room

You can choose where you want to take the test. But the examination date depends on the place you take the test. You should decide where to take the test and also decide when to take.

I live in Pudong area which is in east side of Shanghai, so that I decided to choose a place in the same area. Luckily I found a good place and date. The room was at close to “Dongming road station” which is in substation line 6.

Atmosphere is different from that in center of Shanghai. Very peaceful and quiet. No huge buildings around.

The room was at university. The guard man was there at the gate but he wouldn’t say nothing to me when I passed through the gate. Inside was very quiet and some rooms inside was empty and nothing was in there! Looked like a ghost room and couldn’t believe it was at university.

There was less people than I expected! Only about 10 people there. I guess it is because that there are many places available for test and many dates are possible for take in test in a year.

Maybe it was because HSK 5th grade, but a proctor only speak Chinese. No English. The lady spoke Chinese very fast so that some people did not seem to understand what she was saying…

The result was …

I still don’t know! Did you know that there are no pass of fail? I knew that one week before the exam. It is like TOEIC test. The important thing is the score. Normally, if your score goes over 180 points, you deserve to have HSK 5th grade. HSK 6th is also the same.

That didn’t motivated my a lot but still I had to take the exam so I did. 30 days later I will know my score!
