【Shanghai】No registry counter in “Bianlifeng” smart convinience store
I’ve already written about this smart convenience store called “Bianlifeng”. I’m using this store every day. The store is close my office.
The store near my office has registry counter
The store near my office has registry counter. But other store that I went the other day has no registry counter… 100% self-service.
Using smartphone to pay
There are some displays instead of registries and you can make payment there too by using smart phones. You can also scan the code written in products and pay. 1. Open “Bianlifeng” app in your smart phone, 2. select SCAN, 3.scan the product’s code, 4. make payment on app. Very useful and I like it a lot.
Why not in Japan?
Anyway there is no registry counter inside store and that is amazing. For Japanese, it maybe confusing a lot. Elderly might not follow this situation. In Shanghai, using smart phone is penetrating around people including elderly. Why cannot do same thing in Japan? I hope Japan also would make more progress with these situation.
